Welcome readers: the very first article on johnfisalbon.com!

So, I started a blog and it is the first article I posted.

There are three reasons why you are here:

  1. We know each other in real life and you are curious about what other unexpected ideas went through my mind.
  2. My friends were interested enough in what I wrote that they shared my posts on social media.
  3. This blog became highly visited because people like its content.

I secretly hope that we do not know each other and that it is the 3rd reason that brought you here.

Why am I writing this as a first article?

This first article is what we – bloggers – call: the Welcome Readers post.

More than introducing to you what I am writing about. It’s an open post to welcome you on this blog.

Which is why I need to present you what I am going to write about and why I have started this blog:

I sometimes feel bombarded with information. That I find it hard to get the right ones. I am not saying the right ones are only on this blog.

But I am going to drink a lot of coffees, reading and re-reading what I wrote. Until I say: “Now I like it, and maybe you will.”

That’s my goal. That every time you’ll read one of my posts or be on this blog. You learn something and you enjoy the reading.

To do so, I’ll focus on one thing: not wasting our precious time

browsing on the internet

Sometimes I feel guilty browsing on my social media accounts. Realizing how many precious minutes I am losing there. But I sometimes find an inspiring article or story there.

Which makes me feel better.

If you are bored, at work, waiting for your transportation, or if you need a little boost in your day. Instead of scrolling down Facebook. You can go to this blog.

Perhaps, you’ll feel less guilty about wasting your time on your phone.

So, “OK dude but what is your blog about?”

For the past years, I’ve been reading about business, blogging and personal growth. Most of us are aware that investing in oneself is the best investment one can do.

And it is not a coincidence if the most successful people are giving that advice. Yet, we’re still spending our time and money on meaningless things.

This blog is a way to invest in yourself.

Truth is that I am even including myself here. The more I write, the better I become. The more you read and take action, the better – I hope – you become.

So I am writing about those two topics: blogging and business. Sharing what I know the most about to you.

What do I know about blogging and business?

Read the about section.

Why is the info I am providing better than other blogs?

Because I am guided by the absolute truth. Joke. This depends on you as well. I am writing for readers who can be critical about what they are reading. That can judge if my content is worth their time.

Why am I writing in English?

For those who know me, my native language is France and it is way easier for me to write in French. However, I am living in the Philippines and I want the people around me to understand what I am writing. And English is the international language, the goal of this blog is that it benefits anyone who is serious in learning about blogging.

What is my credibility?

If you learn about me, you’d know a bit. But mostly I am building it everyday. It takes a very long time to build trust. But we need to start somewhere right?

Every day I am trying to improve my writings, my thoughts, learn more books and articles. I try to put intelligence in my content so that you learn something from it.

I hope that what I am writing about will help other people. Especially Millennials, who could be a better communicator to them than one of them?

So, I’ve got this knowledge but without action, it is useless. And as one of the greatest mind on earth said: “nothing happens until something moves”.

Starting this first article on johnfisalbon.com is my move.

Welcome readers.
